In 1999, my husband Dave Bashy and I were married by a Justice of the Peace in a small ceremony at the John Hancock Observatory.

We wanted our wedding to be truly our special day. Not only were we blending two individuals, but our families as well.

Using a Justice of the Peace allowed us to personalize our interfaith ceremony, incorporating both our religious and cultural traditions to the service. Our Justice of Peace helped us find our own special words and create our own personal service.

Since that time, I have thought how wonderful it would be to be able to contribute to a couples’ wedding ceremony - helping to make their ceremony a unique demonstration of their love.

With that in mind, in 2005 I was sworn in as the Justice of Peace in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from UMass Amherst and a Masters Degree in Health Policy and Administration from Northeastern University.

I live in Hopkinton, MA with my husband and our daughter, Amelia.
